MyACT Quick Start Guide

Be sure to register before the deadlines for the test you are taking!

General Information

• ACT tests are given on Saturdays. CHS offers the October, December, February, and April ACT Tests.  June, July, and September tests are not offered at CHS but can be taken at other testing locations.

Test Registration

1. Go to my.act.org - Register for the ACT  

2. Create an account if you do not have one already.

• Write down your username/password and keep it in a SAFE place. You will need to login to your account to check your ACT score after testing.
• Use an email address that you check frequently.
• Follow MY ACT Quick Start Guide to assist in creating an account or signing into an existing account.

3. Go through the registration process.

• Only items with an asterisk (*) are required.
• CHS school code: 190445; CHS test center code: 187140

4. Choose 4 colleges to send your scores to for FREE!

If you qualify for a Fee Waiver, you can send to 6 colleges for Free!

• It is free to send your scores to up to 4 colleges if you pick them before you test. After testing, the cost is $18 to send your score to a school.
• Students who use a fee waiver can send to 20 additional colleges after testing for Free.
• Send one of your free reports to LOSFA (Code Number 1595) for TOPS.

5. Input your grades for each class as best as you    can.

• Your class grades will not impact your ACT score. ACT asks for this information to gather data on the test takers.

6. Pay your fee or enter your waiver number.          ($68.00  no writing, $93 with writing)

6. • If you qualify for a fee waiver, you can use FOUR fee waivers from the start of junior year until you graduate.
   • Be sure to fill out ACT Fee Waiver Determination If ACT audits Chalmette High School and your paperwork is not up to date, your score will be voided.

 7. UPLOAD A PICTURE!

7. • Upload a picture from your phone or computer.
   • Download the ACTPhoto App and take a picture of yourself.
