Senior Ring Day
SENIOR RING DAY INFORMATION – Class of 2025
Please read the information below carefully. It concerns Ring Day. Please share this information with your parents.
- Ring Day is Thursday, October 31, 2024.
- You do not need to have a ring. Everyone will receive the same envelope at the ceremony.
- By school board policy, only students who have earned 18 or more credits are eligible to participate in Ring Day. (Also included are 3-year students who have completed the 3-year Graduation Form and have earned 16 credits.)
- Seniors may participate in the Ring Day Parade. The number of riders must match the number of seatbelts in the vehicle. A Google form must be completed by the driver of the car.
- We will hold the ceremony on the football field.
- Parents are invited to the 9:00 A.M. ceremony. You may invite four people only.
- Once the ceremony is over, seniors have the remainder of the day off from school.
- Dress code for senior Ring Day participants:
- Boys must wear dress shirts, ties and dress slacks.
- Girls may wear modest dressy dresses or modest dressy slacks and blouse. Spaghetti straps or strapless are not allowed. Skirts, dresses, or rompers must be appropriate length. Dresses cannot be too tight or revealing.
PLEASE NOTE: No flip-flops, no jeans, and no shorts are allowed. Walking on grass on the football field can be difficult. Choose footwear carefully. Spiked heels are not recommended. If you have a question about the appropriateness of your outfit, see Mrs. Watson by Friday, Oct 25. ALL DEBTS MUST BE CLEARED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY.
- The final ring payment to Balfour must be made for you to receive your ring.
- If you have ordered your ring from a company other than Balfour, you should bring it to the office on Friday, October 25, or Monday, October 28, so that we can present it to you at the Ring Day ceremony. Turn in your ring to Mrs. Mae Gregoire in the front office.
- Tentative time schedule
- 7:00 A.M. line up for parade (Parade forms and rules are included in this email. You must register to participate in the parade.)
- 7:45 A.M. parade begins
- 8:15 A.M. parade arrives at CHS (Seniors report to their seat on the field through the gate closest to the building.)
- 8:20 A.M. gates open for parents (Parents will use the gate closest to the baseball field.)
- 9:00 A.M. ceremony begins
- After the ceremony, seniors will leave campus and enjoy the rest of the day.
ALL SENIORS MUST COMPLETE THIS GOOGLE FORM EVEN IF THEY DO NOT PLAN TO PARTICIPATE. ONLY THOSE STUDENTS WHO HAVE REGISTERED WILL BE ASSIGNED A SEAT FOR THE CEREMONY.
